The mark consists of a stylized design of a shaded circle surrounded by a single line circle with a partially visible sun featuring sun rays appearing in the lower portion of the shaded circle. In the space in between the shaded circle and the single line circle, the stylized wording "CALIFORNIA COLLEGE" appears curved over the top of the shaded circle and the stylized wording "OF ASU" appears curved underneath the shaded circle with a small shaded circle appearing in front of "OF" and a small shaded circle appearing after "ASU". The entire mark is surrounded by two laurel leaf branches that curve around the design forming an incomplete circle with a break at the top. There is a stylized design of five small shaded stars appearing in a slightly curved horizontal line above the circles in the break between the laurel branches.
