Additional Information
Design Mark
The mark consists of two circular letters "G" of identical size interlocking at their bowls such that the respective outer edges of each bowl extends to the vertical internal center point of its mate and situated on a common horizontal axis, the one on the left being reversed or mirror image and the one on the right oriented conventionally, in sans serif type of consistent thickness. The bar of each "G" straddles an imaginary horizontal line running across the center of the vertical axis of the letters, the opening of each "G" being approximately the same width as the thickness of the letters. The horizontal line of the two bars of the "G"'s is given the effect of connection by virtue of a cross bar actually connecting the two internal interlocking sections of the bowls of the two "G"'s that runs across the same axis as the bars. These interlocking sections create a vertically-oriented prolate spheroid (football) shape which, combined with the internal cross bar and by virtue of thin, mirroring color-free breaks in the spheroid where it meets the bottom of each "G", forms a stylized letter "A" between the two mirrored "G"'s, creating a stylized depiction of the letters "G", "A" and "G". The color is distributed across the two letters "G" as two different gradual transitions or gradients. The first, or leftmost, letter "G", which is the mirror-image one, begins as fuchsia above the break in the opening of the letter's bowl, gradually turning purple at the letter's 1:00 position where it intersects with its mate, descending toward the vertical midpoint where it takes on a mixed purple and green hue, then green at the second, broken intersection with the other "G" at the letter's 5:00 position, becoming yellow at the base of the bowl and then orange where the bowl's line meets the bar of the G. The continuity of color is such that the viewer perceives the break between the bar and the "beginning" of the mirrored "G" above the break as continuing the gradation in a consistent matter across the color-free break. The right-hand "G", described from right to left or counterclockwise above the break in the bowl, begins as purple-blue, becomes violet as it approaches the intersection with the mirrored "G" at the 11:00 position, blends into a yellow-purple mixture at the midpoint and the a green-tinged yellow at the 7:00 position where the bowl intersects with the mirrored "G" and becomes lime green at the base, moving upward toward the bar where it becomes light blue. Here, too, the colors on either side of the color-free break create the effect of a continuous gradient despite the break's lack of color. The stylized letter "A" created by these interlocking letters absorbs and integrates the colors of the corresponding portions of each "G" where they intersect with the spheroid / letter "A".
Color Claim
