Additional Information
Design Mark
The mark consists of a motion mark incorporating sound. The mark begins with an image of a design of number "1" in light blue color. The number "1" design begins to shrink towards the center of the mark and then white, yellow, and fuchsia borders begin to converge towards the center of the mark slowly forming a number "1" and finally disappearing in the design. The light blue number "1" design slowly expands and to the left of it fuchsia, yellow, and light blue rectangle designs form ultimately creating a stylized letter "M" followed by a transitional design in fuchsia, yellow, and light blue creating a stylized letter "Z". The stylized "MZ" letters are in light blue on a white background. A yellow triangle emerges from the bottom right of the mark expanding over the entire mark making the "MZ" letters disappear as the yellow shape passes over them. On a yellow background, the words "MACHINE ZONE" slowly form in the center of the mark. Each letter transforms from fuchsia to light blue to white revealing the words "MACHINE ZONE" overlapping in three sizes and colors. Then another fuchsia triangle emerges from the bottom right of the mark expanding over the entire mark followed by a navy blue triangle expanding from the bottom right of the mark and moving over the entire mark. At the same time, the words "MACHINE ZONE" change colors from shaded light blue and white to completely white. The music accompanying the motion mark plays at a tempo of 154 beats quarter notes per minute. The sound effect is a rushing, rumbling noise sound. It is heard alone for 470 milliseconds before the music begins. This is followed by three orchestral chords played by trumpets, French horns, trombones, tuba, taiko drums, violins, violas, cellos, double bass, and mixed vocal choir. The musical form consists of playing three versions of a D-Major chord in succession, with additional notes being added to the vocal-choir parts of the first chord on beat 2. The duration of the first chord is one half-note tied to an eighth note. The duration of the second chord is a dotted-quarter note tied to a half-note. The notes of the first chord are: D1, A1, D2, G2, A2, D3, F3, A3, Bb3, C4, D4, F4, Bb4/A#4, C5, D5, F5, C6. On beat 2, the following notes are added to the vocal-choir parts: C4, E4, D5. The notes of the second chord are: D1, D2, A2, D3, F3, A3, Bb3, C4, D4, F4 Bb4/A#4, C5, D5, F5, A#5, C6, F6. In addition, the following notes carry through to the third chord without being repeated in the second: D2, B3, D5. The notes of the third chord are: D2, A2, D3, D4, A3, D4, F4, G4, A4 natural, A4, D5, A5 natural, A5, D6, F6, G6.
