Design Mark
The insignia is the Current Seal of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes, and consists of two concentric circles, each outlined in gold. The ring bounded by the two circles features a dark blue background, with the text "SEAL OF THE" centered on the top portion of the ring and the text "WICHITA AND AFFILIATEDTRIBES" centered on the bottom portion of the ring. The inner circle is divided by a dark blue horizon line near the middle-bottom of the circle. Below the horizon line, the background consists of a dark-to-light blue gradient extending away from the horizon line. Above the horizon line, the background features alternating, semi-transparent dark and light blue rays extending from the center of the portion of the inner circle above the horizon line. Centered in the inner circle is a traditional Wichita grass house, dark brown in color with black grid lines both extending from the upper tip of the grass house and circling the perimeter of the grass house. In center-bottom of the grass house is a rectangular opening, black in color, with a fire in the foreground consisting of a white-yellow-orange-red gradient. The area of the grass house above and adjacent to the fire is a slightly darker shade of dark brown than the rest of the grass house. Around the grass house, evenly spaced in the area of the inner circle above the horizon line, are seven four-pointed stars, gold in color with a white circle center. Below the grass house, centered in the area of the inner circle below the horizon line, is a Calumet ceremony pipe, dark brown in color with a light tan band on the left side, a tan band bounded by thinner black bands in the center, and black band on the right side of the pipe. Four white feathers, each with a black tip on its bottom end, are connected to, and hang below, the pipe.
