The mark consists of a shield separated into four sections appearing within the innermost of two concentric circles. A circular band separates in the innermost and outermost circles. The outermost concentric circle includes the wording "LOYOLA MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY" on the top and the wording "FOUNDED 1911" on the bottom with a small circle separating the top and bottom wording on right and left hand side of the circle. In the top left corner of the shield are the letters "I H S" with a cross appearing on top of the "H". In the top right corner of the shield appears a heart with a sash and crown, all within a shaded square. In the lower left corner of the shield is a stylized pair of wings and an outlined plus sign, all within shaded triangular shape. In the lower right corner of the shield is a stylized image of a lion's head with mane.
