The certification mark, as used by persons authorized by the certifier, certifies that the person is a chef who has demonstrated an advanced level of knowledge and skills pertaining to cooking, as determined by a test of culinary skill and knowledge authorized by the certifier. The chef must have a Culinary Arts Associate Degree from an Accredited Culinary Arts Academy and pass the skills and knowledge test proffered by the certifying association.
