The mark is a sound. The mark consists of the bowing of a stringed instrument called a pianoette. The pianoette plays four notes in succession: an A5 quarter note, a B5 quarter note, a C6 quarter note, and a D6 quarter note. They are awash in reverb. The sound also begins with a metallic percussive strike, as well as two notes on an analogue keyboard, an A4 half note, followed by a C5 half note. It is commonly referred to as a drone. This initial strike is followed by an arpeggiated electric piano line. The notes are three A's, each an octave above the previous, beginning with an A2 note, played as triplets, with the pattern repeated eight times. The final notes or strike are played on the pianoette and the analogue keyboard. The note on the pianoette is a bowed C5 whole note, again awash in reverb. The final note on the analogue keyboard is an A2 whole note.
