Design Mark
The mark consists of a design of a hockey rink. The "warning track" line is designed to circle around an entire hockey rink, beginning on the ice surface at the bottom yellow kick plate of the boards. This line is recommended to be 40 inches in width, but is permissible up to 7 feet in width. The primary and recommended color for this line is orange, however all color variations are suitable for the coloring of this line. The purpose of this line is to warn all on and off ice participants when they are getting close to the boards to help prevent injury.
