The mark consists of six interlocking pieces of identical shape and size forming a six-pointed "star" shaped figure with rounded points. The six interlocking pieces are red, purple, magenta, yellow, blue, and green, respectively. Just above each of the six "points", outside the design, is a circle of corresponding color to the interlocking piece it is adjacent to. The wording "AENC ANNUAL TRADE SHOW" appears in purple directly below the design. In smaller wording below, in blue, is "CONNECTING PEOPLE GROWING BUSINESS", separated in the middle by a small blue squiggle line. Immediately below is a purple horizontal line, and then at the bottom of the mark, in gray, is the wording "DECEMBER 13, 2012" and "RALEIGH, NC". Between the two groups of wording is a blue dot.
