The visible far inner surface is white in the middle shading through gray to black at the left and right. A small sliver of black separates the lower edge of the far inside from the upper edge of the near outside of the southern hemisphere band of latitude. A band of black represents the gap between the southern hemisphere band of latitude and the lower polar cap. The lower polar cap itself is white bounded by gray. The globe casts a gray shadow below itself. All other white on the drawing is background.
