The mark consists of a two part label. The top portion of the label is a four-sided figure, higher than it is wide. The two sides are perpendicular to the bottom, and the top arches upward in a curve, with a small inward curving indentation on the left and right sides at the point at which the arch joins the straight side edge of the label. There are four thin borders of slightly varying widths around the outline of the upper portion of the label. The outermost border is dark beige mottled with dark brown, the next border in is gold, the next border in is dark beige mottled with dark brown, and the innermost border is black. Inside the borders, at the top of the label in the shape of the arched top, are the words "TRIPLE DISTILLED BY JOHN JAMESON & SON" in black, with a black line above and below these words, following the curve of the words. Below that is a rectangular figure with inward curving indentations at the four corners. The background of this rectangular figure is black. Overlapping the upper edge of the rectangle and extending upward from its top edge is a shield. The top edge of the shield extends out in points to the left and right, and the bottom edge of the shield extends down to a point in the center. The shield itself is red, and is crossed diagonally by two gold-colored bands in an X shape, edged in black. Overlapping the upper quadrant of the shield is a triple-masted sail boat in gold and black. In the left and right quadrants of the shield formed by the X is a gold anchor on each side. In the bottom quadrant is a gold star. Under the shield is a ribbon or banner in gold and black with the words "SINE METU" in black. To the left of the shield are the words "IN MIDLETON" in black, and to the right of the shield are the words "COUNTY CORK" in black. Below those words and parallel to the top of the rectangle, a gold line extends out on each side from the left and right sides of the shield to the indentations at the left and right upper corners of the rectangle, like a partial border. Overlapping the bottom of the rectangle and extending below it is an oval that is much wider than it is high. The oval has three narrow borders; the outermost border is black, the middle one is gold, and the inner one is black. Inside the borders are the words "VERY RARE" in black on a gold background. Extending out from the left and right edges of the oval are a gold line on each side that extends to the left and right indentations at the left and right lower corners of the rectangle, like a partial border. In the center of the black rectangle is the word "MIDLETON" in white lettering, with a partial outline in gold that makes the letters appear to be three-dimensional. Inside the letter "O", at the top of the upper curve, is a gold circle. Below the rectangle and the words "VERY RARE" in an oval is the wording "IRISH WHISKEY" in black, with partial outlining in gold that gives the letters a three-dimensional appearance. Below that, in red script, are the words "John Jameson & Son's supreme selection" and on the next line also in red script, "from the Midleton Distillery, County Cork". Below that, in black italic lettering, are the words "AGED TO PERFECTION AND BOTTLED IN THE YEAR". Below that are two short horizontal black lines, with a space between them in the middle. Below that is the signature "John Jameson & Son" in orange script, which is overlapped at the center where the letter "m" would be, by a round seal. This seal has three narrow borders of gold, red, and gold around the outer edge, and another gold border around the center of the seal. Between the outer and inner borders are the words "JOHN JAMESON & SON LIMITED", in gold on a red background, and inside the inner border are the initials "JJ&S" in gold on a red background. The entire background of the upper label is dark beige mottled with dark brown. The bottom label is a rectangle that is much wider than it is high, and that has a rectangular flap with rounded corners extending below most of the bottom edge. The background of the bottom label is dark beige mottled with dark brown. The bottom label has four borders. The outer border is dark beige mottled with dark brown and extends around the label from the left edge of the bottom flap, up the left side of the label, across the top of the label, down the right side of the label, and around the bottom right corner to the right edge of the bottom flap. The next inner border is gold and extends around the label in the same way. The next inner border is dark beige mottled with dark brown and extends in a rectangle all around the label. The innermost border is black and also extends in a rectangle all around the label. Inside these borders, at the center of the bottom label, is another rectangle, light beige in color, that has four borders. The outermost border is light beige, the next inner border is black, the next inner is light beige, and the innermost border is black. Across the center of this rectangle is the signature "Barry Crockett" in blue script. At the bottom left corner of this inner rectangle are the words "MASTER DISTILLER" in small black lettering.
