POWERS SINGLE POT STILL IRISH WHISKEY ESTD. 1791 JOHN'S LANE RELEASE

The mark consists of a shield-shaped label that is wider than it is high. It is very slightly rounded across the top edge and curves down on either side to a point at the bottom of the label. Across the top edge of the shield are two borders which follow the entire outline of the shield down to the bottom point. The outer border is black and the inner border is dark gold. At the top left and right corners of the inner border of the shield a third border begins, very narrow at the top, and widening as it follows the outer edge and the two outer borders down the sides of the shield. It also comes to a point at the bottom of the label. This innermost border is dark red. Of the three borders, the outer black one is the widest, and the inner dark red one is the narrowest. The background of the shield inside the borders is black. Across the top of the shield in large lettering is the word "POWERS" in white lettering with a partial outline in dark gold that gives the letters a three-dimensional appearance. The word "POWERS" is curved slightly like the top edge of the shield, so that the beginning and end letters are slightly lower than the "W" and "E" in the middle of the word. Below that, extending the same width across the shield as the word "POWERS" are the words "SINGLE POT STILL IRISH WHISKEY" in much smaller white letters. These words are also shaped into a curve that is higher in the center and lower on the outside edges. Below those words in the center of the shield is a circle with a wider dark gold border, and a narrower black border inside. Inside the inner border is a drawing, in black on dark gold, of a three-storied building on a street corner, looking directly at the corner of the building in which there is door with two windows above. The sides of the building extend away from the corner door in perspective, with three stories of windows visible in each direction as well as the suggestion of another level of windows below ground level in either direction. On either side of the circle two parallel rays extend out from but do not actually touch the left and right sides of the circle. The rays are pale gold in color and extend out to the same width as the words above. The rays are wider on the side that is near the circle and taper to points at their outer edges. Between the parallel rays on the left of the circle is the abbreviation "ESTD" in dark gold. Between the parallel rays on the right of the circle is the date "1791" in dark gold. Below that, centered below the circle, are the words "JOHN'S LANE" in medium-sized white lettering with a partial outline in pale gold that gives the letters a three-dimensional appearance. Below those words is the word "Release" in somewhat larger dark gold script. The top of the "R" in "Release" overlaps the "HN" in "JOHN'S".
