The certification mark, as intended to be used by authorized persons, is intended to certify that the operator of a natural resource site is extracting and producing the natural resource in a socially and environmentally responsible manner in accordance with pre- defined parameters, specifications and standards and, in the case of a product made from a natural resource, that the originator of the product has purchased certificates that represent that the equivalent amount and type of the natural resource utilized in the manufacture of the product has been extracted and produced in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
