Below the gold scrollwork design are the words "MAISON FONDEE" in claret appearing above "1812" in claret. Further below "1812" in claret appears the word "DEMI-SEC" in black. At the bottom of the box is a crown and feathers design in claret above the words "BY APPOINTMENT TO H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES PURVEYORS OF CHAMPAGNE CHAMPAGNE LAURENT-PERRIER" in claret, which wording appears above the word "FRANCE" in claret, which in turn appears above the stylized wording in claret "TOURS-SUR-MARNE".
