Computer software computer/web-based training application component; A computer-based system of training designed to ensure that the learners master the subject matter being presented; The actual phases in the training cycle are based on scientific research in behavioral sciences and instructional design; The phases include an initial "Pretest" phase, which is followed by "Preview"; The next phase is "Train", then "Review", and then the final phase, which is "Confirm"; Depending how the learner performs in a given phase, they either advance to the next phase or returned to continue training; The phase of the cycle that the learner is in is "hidden", or "transparent" to the learner, leaving the learner unaware of being moved back; The learner is, however, able to monitor their progress on a Performance Graph
