The mark consists of the word "CALIFORNIA" surrounded by a shaded rectangle with a narrow unshaded border around the rectangle. The rectangle is placed on top of a multiple-ringed circle with a stylized starburst in the center ring under the rectangle containing the word "CALIFORNIA". The inner circle is bordered by a narrow unshaded band. The next circle is shaded and contains the words "%100 ORIGINAL" appearing in the top half of the circle and "CALROSE" appearing in the bottom half of the circle. The outer border of the circle is a narrow unshaded band. The circle is placed on top of three stylized rice stalks appearing from the top and bottom of the left side and the right side of the circle.
