The mark consists of a pentagon shape with a blue and gold border, inside the border is a white band with the words "AMERICAN ACADEMY OF DISASTER MEDICINE" in blue letters beginning at the lower left side and running upwards around the border ending in the lower right side; in the bottom side of the border are the words "ORGANIZED IN 2006", also in blue letters; the center of the pentagon is banded in blue and gold and is light blue in color and in its center is a gold and white staff with a snake wrapped around it, similar to a caduceus; to the left of the staff are the stylized letters "A" and "A" in blue bordered in white with the two letters being intertwined and to the right of the staff are the letters "D" and "M" in the same style and colors and also intertwined.
