The mark consists of an oval with a blue and gold border; inside the border is a white band with the words "AMERICAN BOARD OF FAMILY MEDICINE OBSTETRICS" beginning in the lower left of the band and running upwards and around the border and ending in the lower right; at the bottom center of the border, in smaller fonts are the words "ORGANIZED 2007"; the center of the oval is blue and in its center is a gold staff with a snake wrapped around it, similar to a caduceus; in the center, to the left of the staff, in white outline form, are a man and a woman facing inward and on the right of the staff, also in white outline form, is a woman facing inward with an unborn baby in her stomach.
