Design Mark
The mark consists of the acronym "IOOS". Each letter of the acronym is divided in half. For the letters "I" and "S", the left-side is in black while the right side is in blue. For the letters "O", both sides consist of shades of blue and black. The two "O" letters in the acronym consist of globe images with the continents being black and the ocean being blue. At the bottom is the phrase "INTEGRATED OCEAN OBSERVING SYSTEM" all in blue except that the first letter of each of those words is in black.
