The mark consists of a stylized design featuring two halves of a cake broken open to show a filling, the cake is copper and wheat colored in an irregular pattern, the filling is purple at the top is a light silver colored rectangle inside of which is a circle within a looping curved line, all in red and the area between the circle and looping curved line being white, followed by the design of two Japanese characters in black, followed by the wording "MARUKYO" in black, the wording "MARUKYO" is over a rectangle of Venetian red which fades right to left to white. Below the light silver rectangle is the wording "FUNWARIYAKI" in black. Below and to the right is a yellow rectangle with black Japanese characters inside. In the center is a stylized design of connected red circles having white with yellow bordered Japanese characters within. Behind the red circles are circular designs of red which fade to white and include white inlays. Above the cake is a yellow banner which fades to rust at an irregular top. Within the yellow banner is a red rectangle with rounded corners includes two rows of Japanese characters in white, the bottom row being smaller in height than the top row. Above the red rectangle with rounded corners, in the yellow banner, are Japanese characters in black.

Translation
The English translation of "FUNWARIYAKI" in the mark is "softly sponge cake". The wording "MARKUYO" has no meaning in English.
