Design Mark
The mark consists of the words "MILITARY SPOUSE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD," in a circular medal, surrounding an open book text and oil lamp which, in turn, are surrounded by laurel. The medal is connected by a golden loop through an eyelet fastened to the medal, connecting to a ribbon bearing five stripes. The two thinner outer stripes are red, the stripes next to them are white, and the wider center stripe is blue, bearing four 5-pointed gold stars in a vertical line. Color is claimed as part of the mark, including, in addition to the foregoing description, the black background for the outer circle of the medal, gold for the text MILITARY SPOUSE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD, and gold for the inner circle of the medal, including the drawings therein.
